At the home of the mighty Kanchenjunga, it is not surprising that the mountains at Sikkim are also a thriving adventure. Skiing

When it comes to the Indian Himalayas, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are the main ones and places like Sikkim are often overlooked. But as the home of the third highest mountain in the world – Mount Kanchenjunga, its thick snow cover and towering mountains make Skiing a dream come true. The Sikkim Mountaineering Association recently introduced ice skiing in two areas – Phuni in Lachung and Yumthang to help a little to get Sikkim the attention it deserves.
