When you plan to visit Sikkim or Darjeeling, you may first land at Baghdogra airport or NJP station, after which you may take a shared car or private car and drive to Sikkim or Darjeeling as per your travel plan, but when you choose the Dzongri trek, you may proceed to drive to Yuksom, Yuksom is the main trekking base camp for Dzongri and Goechala trek, after reach yuksom stay the overnight
Yuksom is a small rural town and the main trekking base for the Dzongri and Goechala treks. Around 2 thousand people reside in the Yuksom area, with the majority of them working in adventure tourism. The walk from Yuksom to Sachen takes 4 hours for beginners and 3 hours for professionals. This is entirely dependent on the trekkers; the trip will take you through dense forest and, at times, across a steel hanging bridge.
This day trek must be a bit challenging because the majority of the route is hilly, and the trek will also take you through lush forest and near the Tshoka, where you will observe several types of Rhododendron and Himalayan pine trees. So Tshoka is a great area with gorgeous view. From Tshoka, you can see some beautiful green forest in the distance. After breakfast, you can continue your hike to Tshoka, where you will spend the night in a tent.
Trek will be early like 8am from tshoka. Because the distance is longer than the previous day, you should start the trek as soon as possible from Tshoka. You should get up early in the morning, eat some healthy breakfast, and then continue the trek. This day's trek will be very interesting because the trekking trails are made of wood in some parts, and the trek has to be inside the rhododendron forest, and near the Dzongri area, you may find some kind of Rhododendron. and from the dzongri, you may obtain a 180-degree view of the mountain.
Get up extremely early in the morning, about 4 a.m., and drink some tea before hiking to the Dzongri summit for a sunrise glimpse of Mt. Kanchenjunga. It takes around half an hour to go to the top of the camp. After that, return to camp, eat some breakfast, and descend to Tshoka.
